Oh, So You're a Working Girl Are Ya'?

We know what you're thinking, you want your everyday makeup to appear professional AND "pop." When you look in the mirror and feel good about yourself, there's a boost of confidence that comes right along with it. Not to mention, it shows in how you carry yourself throughout the day.

Finding the right balance is tricky no matter where you work. Here are a few tricks to help make it a little easier. 

First things first, I suggest that you keep your specific workplace in mind. There is usually a “theme,” for lack of better words. If you work in a medical office, or a law office, a more conservative look will work well. Whereas, if you work at an advertising agency you may notice a more “creative” theme amongst others in the office. Makeup with a little more sparkle, color and drama may fit right in. It never hurts to observe others and put your own twist on it!

Quick tips:

  • Light, natural and nude looks always fair well in any work environment.       A full face of dramatic makeup is usually not the best choice. Save the         extra bells and whistles for date night!
  • Choose a look that is easy to touch up throughout the day and won’t           take much time.

  • Pack a small makeup bag with a few essential items that you may need       to touch up your makeup throughout the day.

  • Make sure to highlight your best features. The right essential items will       go a long way!

  • Lashes (subtle ones for work)
  • Nude lips

  • Highlighter

  • Light(nude) eyeshadow

  • Eyeliner
    •
  • Blotting paper
